Brand Voice

Your brand voice is what makes your content sound like you. Ai-Mee's brand voice system ensures every piece of content — no matter how many posts are generated — stays consistent with how your business communicates.

What Is Brand Voice?

Brand voice is a collection of rules that describe how your business talks to its audience. Ai-Mee stores four types of brand voice rules:

🗣️ Tone

How your brand feels when people read it.

Examples:

  • "Friendly and approachable, never too formal"
  • "Professional and authoritative"
  • "Playful and humorous, with light sarcasm"

📖 Terminology

Words and phrases your brand uses — or avoids.

Examples:

  • "Always refer to customers as 'guests', not 'customers'"
  • "Never use the word 'cheap' — use 'affordable' instead"
  • "Use 'we' and 'our' — avoid corporate-sounding language"

👥 Audience

A description of who you're talking to.

Examples:

  • "Busy small business owners aged 30–55 who value simplicity"
  • "Young professionals interested in fitness and healthy living"
  • "Restaurant-goers in London who love discovering new cuisine"

✍️ Style

Your primary content goal or visual direction.

Examples:

  • "Educational content that teaches, not sells"
  • "Storytelling-first — every post should have a narrative"
  • "Bold CTAs at the end of every post"

How Brand Voice Is Applied

Every time Aimee generates content, she includes your brand rules as instructions to the AI writer. A separate AI brand reviewer then reads the draft and checks:

  • Does the tone match?
  • Are the right words being used (or avoided)?
  • Is the content appropriate for the target audience?
  • Does the style match the goal?

If the draft fails this check, it's sent back for revision. The reviewer can request up to two revisions before the content is passed on to you. This means you're only ever seeing content that has already been checked for brand consistency.

Setting Up Your Brand Voice

During Onboarding (via Telegram)

When you first connect with Aimee on Telegram, she'll ask you four questions to set up your brand voice:

  1. "What's your brand's tone of voice?"
  2. "Are there any key words or phrases you always use or want to avoid?"
  3. "Who is your target audience?"
  4. "What's your primary content goal — informing, selling, entertaining, building community?"

Your answers become your first set of brand voice rules.

From Your Dashboard

You can view, add, edit, and delete brand voice rules at any time from your client settings:

  1. Go to your client's settings page
  2. Find the Brand Voice section
  3. Add new rules, edit existing ones, or remove rules that no longer apply

Automatic Discovery from Your Website

If you provide your website URL in your client profile, Ai-Mee can visit your website and automatically extract brand information — your company description, industry, and tone — to suggest brand voice rules. You can trigger this manually or set it to run on a schedule (weekly or monthly).

Tips for Great Brand Voice Rules

  • Be specific. "Friendly" is vague — "warm and encouraging, like a knowledgeable friend rather than a salesperson" is better.
  • Give examples. The more concrete your rules, the better the AI can follow them.
  • Cover what to avoid too. Prohibited words and off-limits topics are just as useful as the positive rules.
  • Update over time. As your business evolves, your brand voice should too. Revisit your rules every few months.
