Managing Media Assets

Upload your brand images, documents, and other files so Aimee can reference and use them when creating content.

What Are Media Assets?

Media assets are files and resources associated with your client. They can include:

  • Images — Brand photos, product images, event photos
  • Documents — PDFs, price lists, menus, press releases
  • Videos — Promotional or event footage
  • Menus — For hospitality clients (can be uploaded as images or text)
  • Scraped pages — Website content extracted by Ai-Mee automatically

Why Upload Media?

When Aimee creates content, she can reference your uploaded assets to:

  • Use your brand photos instead of generic stock images
  • Pull specific details from uploaded documents (e.g., the correct price list or menu items)
  • Ensure product descriptions and details are accurate

The more relevant material you give Aimee, the more accurate and on-brand her content will be.

Uploading Assets

  1. Go to your client's page in the dashboard
  2. Click on Knowledge Base or Assets (depending on your version)
  3. Click Upload Asset or Add
  4. Choose the file type and select your file
  5. Give it a descriptive name so it's easy to find later
  6. Click Save

The Knowledge Base

The Knowledge Base is a special type of asset — a text document where you can write or paste information about your client in plain language.

This is the best place to put:

  • Key facts about the business (founding date, locations, team size)
  • Product and service descriptions
  • Frequently mentioned details (opening hours, contact info, special offers)
  • Background information that should inform all content

Editing the Knowledge Base

  1. Go to the client's Knowledge Base page
  2. The editor shows the current content in a text format
  3. Add, edit, or remove information
  4. Click Save

Think of it like a briefing document that Aimee reads before writing anything.

Automatic Website Scraping

If your client has a website URL set, Ai-Mee can automatically visit the site and extract content to add to the knowledge base.

To run it manually:

  1. Go to Client Settings
  2. Click Analyse Website or Scrape Website
  3. Ai-Mee will visit the site and add relevant content to the knowledge base

You can also set a scraping schedule so it happens automatically:

  • Weekly — good for sites that update frequently
  • Monthly — good for most business sites
  • Off — disable automatic scraping

Image Search (Unsplash)

When Aimee creates content, she automatically searches for relevant stock images via Unsplash to accompany each post. The suggested images appear alongside your drafts.

If you've uploaded your own images, those will be prioritised where appropriate. You can also accept the Unsplash suggestions or swap them for your own before approving a post.

Tips

  • Upload a menu or price list if you're in hospitality or retail — Aimee will reference the correct items and prices automatically
  • Keep the knowledge base updated when important details change (new opening hours, new locations, updated services)
  • Name your assets clearly so they're easy to identify — especially if you have lots of images
